ECR Asia Pacific Awards

The purpose of ECR activities is to enhance the ability of all member companies to compete more efficiently and effectively to provide better value to the consumers. ECR activity almost always involves the cooperation of competitors. However, ECR members could still collaborate on projects, help one another to realize the benefits and contribute to the development of ECR. This award is to recognize this spirit of collaboration to drive the FMCG industry forward.

The ECR AP Awards’ winners will receive their awards on 25th March, 2015 (Wednesday) during the ECR Asia Pacific Conference in Hong Kong.

Notification to top 3 entries 27th June, 2014
Presentation of top 3 cases 25th March 2015

Entry Requirements

Submission Criteria
The ECR Asia-Pacific Asia Council invites companies to submit cases for consideration under the ECR Asia-Pacific Awards programme.

  • The case should be written up in the form of a presentation file of no more than 20 pages.
  • The topic should be within the remit of Efficient Consumer Response, i.e. working together to meet consumer wishes better, faster and at less cost.
  • The case should involve at least one retailer and at least one supplier.
  • The case should demonstrate how consumers have benefited from the initiative.
  • Cases with quantified benefits for the consumer, the retailer and the supplier are more likely to be successful.

The deadline for submission to the ECR Asia Council will be Friday, 30th May 2014. Please submit your proposals to

Judging Process
The ECR Asia-Pacific Council will appoint a panel of judges. The judging panel will review the submissions and select the top 3 submissions. Notification will be sent by 27th June, 2014 (Friday) to the top 3 submissions. The selected top 3 cases will be invited ECR Asia-Pacific Conference in Hong Kong on 25th March, 2015 (Wednesday) where they must present their case to the conference participants. The winner, runner up and second runner up will be selected by the judging panel based on:

  • Contribution to the development of ECR
  • Degree of collaboration demonstrated
  • Value created for consumers
  • Benefits realized
  • Presentation style
